Fulshear property owner Jim Gibson, who died before lawsuit ended, accused Jamie Roberts of stealing two carports from his property. Case: The state of Texas versus James Warren Roberts.
Jamie Roberts has been under indictment for charges that included felony theft and abuse of office, since March 2007. Mayor Jamie Roberts asked his City council for the reimbursement of his attorney charges but it was denied by city council (2009). The plaintiff died, I guess his family did not wish to continue the lawsuit, therefore Jamie was exonerated.

Years later (7/31/15 and 9/22/15), Jeff Roberts’ dad Jamie and brother Troy sent a requests to City to get reimbursement of those legal fees again. Note the date: July 2015, ie 2 months after the elections where Jeff Roberts and his friends Mesic/Tristan/Ridge got the majority on the Fulshear council. Unfortunately, respectively fortunately for taxpayers, Roberts family could not expect that Mayor Kuykendall will turn down this request without presenting to his Council for voting. This whole story is an ancient history, except the part of Troy and Jamie requesting payment from Council where their family member Jeff has finally the majority after 5 years sitting on council.
