Mother Nature Strikes Again

Huge gusts of winds hit our area. I heard winds roaring outside my house followed by a big thudding noise. I went outside to check if anything happened, and sure enough, this large branch came crashing down in my front yard. Just "marvelous". More yard work for me. That night came more violent winds and a thunderstorm, but other branches in my trees stayed intact. The next few days after, I began to whittle away at the large fallen branch. This video shows the account and the following days of progress I've made in removal of the debris. I decided to make lemonade out of lemons, and created a few art projects during my labor. I cut out a few nice cubes of wood out of one branch with my electric chainsaw, along with a few square slabs and wood plates. The cubes are about 5" x 5" x 5", and I'm hoping to get a larger cube of about 8" x 8" x 8" out of the larger areas of the fallen branch. Much more work lies ahead of me. Not how I pictured living out the last few weeks of a December month of 2021.
