CHOKING AND FRUITLESS OR HEARING AND FRUITFUL

If we humble ourselves before God our hearts will be the kind of ground that brings the word that is planted to maturity by bearing fruit. But, if we will not our hearts will be the kind of ground that chokes the seed before it can bear fruit. But, do you know what that fruit is?

In this message we learn that the fruit we are known by is not what we do. It is what we say. Just as the prophet whose job it is to speak for God is known to be a false prophet when what he speaks does not come to pass. So it is that what we say shows what is really in our hearts.

This is what the Bible means when it says man looks on the outward appearance. But, God looks on the heart. He does this by hearing what men say. And Jesus said so can we.
