Thinking Thru Scripture Ep 9: Jeroboam - When It Is Easier to Destroy the Promise Than to Trust God

ERROR: I say (by accident) that the Levites do NOT have Land. The Levites VERY MUCH have land. But they do not have land for which they have had to fight as a tribe. Their land was GIVEN to them. My main point is that in the story of the 12 tribes, Levites are no longer one of the "twelve tribes" and they do not have a dedicated territory. Their land is dispersed throughout the nation. Finally, Jeroboam is an important study in the relationship between promise and doubt. God's promise to Jeroboam is profound and significant. But his personal sense of inferiority and doomed failure, allows Jeroboam to become the standard for corrupt leadership, causing him then to be remembered as an enemy of the state when once upon a time he had been a called and blessed leader.
