Shocking moment truck is blown onto its side by strong wind on Colorado highway

This is the dramatic moment a truck was blown onto its side during 100mph winds in the US.

The high-sided vehicle was parked up on the side of the highway in Colorado when gales caused it to topple over.

Major storms have battered the US heartland in recent days - leaving hundreds of thousands of people without power.

It is thought that at least five people have lost their lives in the extreme weather, which has caused devastation in communities.

Footage shows a truck in the Colorado Springs area rattling back and forth in the wind for around ten seconds.

It then comes crashing down onto the tarmac.

The video was filmed on December 15.
