Watch this nearly-2-year-old tackle the Montessori sensorial work, The Knobbed Cylinders. He is working to place the knobs in order, touching them as if to study them.

It is a beautiful example not only of the child's determination and reasoning process, but of the teacher's patience in letting him self-correct. You'll notice that he pauses and looks up for help.

With no assistance from the teacher, he successfully completes the work. His smile says, "I did it!"
