Bait: Powerbait Eggs (*Not a sponsor)
Rig: Bottom Rig

Back at my favorite spot at the stocked pond.

Today I didn't have to compete with people, just a Cormorant. While I generally don't mind the osprey getting food from the stocked pond, the Cormorant does bug me a little. I mostly don't like to complain about nature being nature, but in this particular case, the Cormorant dives under the water to hunt its prey. In doing so, it threatens every fish, not just the one that comes to the surface. This threat then causes stress on the entire pond, which makes the fish less likely to eat, thus reducing my ability to fish. Hard to fault nature for being nature, just mildly annoying, is all.

What are your thought about competing with natural predators in your favorite fishing spots?
