O Come O Come Emmanuel - K.C. Dobbins and the Fantastic Flying Frogs

Several years ago, a beautiful young woman appeared in my studio and said to me, "I need voice lessons." I said, "Ok, sing me something." So she sat down at my piano, and started singing. I swear, it was like the heavens opened up and angels sprang forth from her lips. After she was finished, I said, "Who told you you needed voice lessons?" She said, "Well, I auditioned for this country band, and they turned me down." I said, "Well, they were stupid."

Over the years we have tried to work on a project together but our schedules never seemed to allow for it to happen. But finally, this year, we got together and recorded a couple songs for Christmas. She's still beautiful, and still sings like a choir of angels. I present to you the wonderful and talented K.C. Dobbins along with the Fantastic Flying Frogs in a performance she recorded for her father for Christmas! "O Come, O Come Emmanuel."

O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here,
Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan's tyranny;
From depths of hell Thy people save,
And give them victory o'er the grave.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Dayspring, from on high,
And cheer us by Thy drawing nigh;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death's dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Key of David, come
And open wide our heav'nly home;
Make safe the way that leads on high,
And close the path to misery.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Adonai, Lord of might,
Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai's height,
In ancient times didst give the law
In cloud and majesty and awe.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
