New figures show that the Omicron variant is now the dominant COVID strain in London, making up 51.8% of new cases.

It is also spreading across the UK with most regions seeing a rise in cases.

It comes after health bosses warned we'd see a "quite staggering" rise in infection numbers in coming days.
