A diplomatic first India sends medicines to Taliban-held Afghanistan

India, in an unprecedented diplomatic push, has begun sending humanitarian assistance, in the form of essential supplies, including medicines to the Afghan people. The first consignment was sent on Friday. Reports say that the large-scale humanitarian aid operations could be further likely. Although, India maintains that it still does not recognise the Taliban regime in Afghanistan.
