MP Steve Baker: COVID models consistently wrong: unrealistic assumptions and hyper pessimistic

Finally a politicians who both understands what's going on and has the courage and strength to do what is right.

People tend to say that the models are 'the science'. Nothing could be further from the truth. The models are based on assumptions. If you enter completely wrong assumptions, you get completely wrong predictions. Garbage in, garbage out.

Many models assume that vaccinated people are protected well and don't transmit a disease, which is completely wrong. They also assume that unvaccinated people are at risk and transmit the disease, which is also completely wrong. Then they don't take into account the changing seasons, whilst ALL respiratory infections, including COVID, are seasonal.

Many people use the precautionary principle as an argument, but they 'forget' that the mitigation measures they are in favor of, are extremely harmful. They also forget that mitigation measures, such as community mask wearing, vaccine mandates and passports, lockdowns, etc. are medically completely useless and extraordinarily harmful.

They also have double standards, because they oppose measures that actually ARE both unharmful and effective and have POSITIVE side-effects, such as adequate ventilation, optimal humidity, adequate vitamin D blood levels, early treatment, healthy diet and lifestyle, and voluntary protection of the high risk group.

As argument for dismissing these measures, they say that there is insufficient proof that they work. This may or may not be the case, depending on how you define 'insufficient', but in the mean time, there is good scientific proof that they measures they are in favor, don't work at all and are incredibly harmful (Measures of Mass Destruction, MMD).

Finally, Steve Baker mentions the moving goal posts. We started out with 2 weeks to flatten the curve and now we must vaccinate 100% of the population. Even if this ever were to happen, they dictators will introduce new goals. They'll enforce mask mandates, because of the flu.
