The Roadhouse Rockers sound is deeply influenced by Southern Rock and Texas-style blues. A versatile band known for performing original music and popular cover tunes, the Roadhouse Rockers play tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, The Allman Brothers Band, Blackfoot, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and more.

Jimi Hendrix is by far the biggest influence on Rick Magee’s guitar style. In 1996 and 1999, Rick was a top finalist in the Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Competition. He continues to be regarded as one of the finest guitarists of today.

In addition to the Roadhouse Rockers, Rick has been performing duo acoustic shows with his longtime friend, Jack Adams, for over 20 years. Rick and Jack revive crowd-pleasing favorite tunes, and often invite other local musicians to share the stage for delightful and memorable jam sessions. It’s a good time for all.

Great Lakes Hot Rods and Gearheadz USA:
In 2008, Rick’s interest in classic cars led him to forming his own classic auto club, Great Lakes Hot Rods, where he hosts classic car shows at local venues, and awards prizes and trophies in several categories to participants in the events. Rick’s shows have gained in popularity and are attended by hundreds of auto enthusiasts in the tri-state area.

Because of his auto knowledge and ease in front of large audiences, in 2020 Rick was offered to host a cable TV show named Gearheadz USA, which is produced and aired worldwide through Armstrong Internet and Cable TV.
