Come ride along on our journey to find the best meat chickens for our family to continue to raise. We are a homesteading, homeschooling family who have a passion for quality food and how it comes to be. Watch the process all the way through butcher day. We’ll be raising Cornish Cross for the last time alongside some Enhanced Delaware Broilers, Rangers and Bresse. We will keep record of each group’s feed consumption, cost, compare pros and cons of raising each breed and compare the final outcome; the meat. As butcher day approaches, we will choose about 10-15 meaties to keep as our meat bird breeding team for the upcoming years. Tag along and see how this plays out!
