Slammed From Behind, No Serious Injuries, SPRING CREEK, December 12, 2021 - At approximately 9:35 am on December 12, 2021, a silver 2015 Ford Explorer was west-bound on US-190 West. The driver was waiting to make a left turn into the parking lot of Forest Branch Baptist Church when it was slammed from behind by a white 2008 Dodge Charger. The impact caused the Ford to cross over 190 and into the grass where it came to rest. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. The occupants of the SUV were transported to CHI Livingsto Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure. The driver of the Dodge Charger was physically okay and refused treatment. Trooper Johnny Wilkerson was dispatched to investigate and was assisted by the Polk County Sheriff's Office. The driver of the Charger was cited for failure to control speed. Both vehicles were recovered by George White & Sons Wrecker Service and will be stored in Onalaska.
