Pay-TV customers have an average monthly bill of $123 according to NPD Group. My tip to save money is to get rid of your expensive satellite or cable TV package and become a cord cutter.

Hesitant to cancel because you love having a ton of entertainment options? You're in luck! You can still get a huge amount of content for free over the air, or through affordable online streaming options. Here's what you need to do.

- First, Get an over the air DVR like the Tablo Over The Air DVR. You can record all your favorite over the air shows, and watch them on all your devices- smartphones, tablets, computers and of course on your TV. http://www.biblemoneymatters.com/tablo-tv-over-the-air-dvr-the-cord-cutters-dream/

- Second, get a video streaming device. My current favorite is the Amazon Fire TV Stick for only $39. http://www.biblemoneymatters.com/amazon-fire-tv-stick-review-a-device-for-the-cord-cutters-toolbox/

-Third, subscribe to a video streaming service after determining which ones have access to your favorite shows that you want to watch. Some of my favorite services include:

- Sling TV
- Netflix
- Amazon Instant Video
- Hulu
- HBO Now.

Once you've setup your cord cutting package, instead of paying $123/month you'll likely be spending more in the range of $20-30/month or less. Who couldn't use an extra $1200 a year?
