Bangladesh Calvary Christian Ministry

This ministry is a partnership between Billo Das and Chuck Ness. When we teamed up Billo had about 300 to students he taught Bible lessons to. I met Biillo when he contacted me after reading my commentaries I post to fb, and we started chatting. What struck me about Billo, was he never asked for money for food or clothing for the children, he asked if I could help teach him good Biblical doctrine, help him become a good teacher, help supply him with Bibles.Show more

I began by purchasing him a printer, ink , and paper. With this I then began giving him advice and teaching him Bible lessons which he then taught the children. I eventually started putting outlines toghether that I would translate into Bangali for him to print up and share with his students as he taught them.

In time the number of children he taught increased to over 1000, and he even gained some volunteers to help teach children in other cities. With my outlines and lessons, Billo would teach his students volunteers, who in turn taught children in their cities. All the students and teachers are taught off the same lessons I prepare in both English and in Bangali. Billos ministry covers an area of about 1200 sguare miles.

Eventually I was able to purchase Bibles. We first distributed them to the volunteer student teachers, who would distribute them to students in other cities and districts of Bangladesh. Soon the number of students with Bibles increased, and so did the number of children, teenagers, and adults who wanted to learn about the Bible. By Spetemmber Billo he had grown the ministry to over 1600 students in 20 cities and 5 districts in South Western Bangladesh. He increased his volunteer teachers to 50 and many parents of the students began coming to his studies and have themselves converted to Christinaity.

Today we have over 3000 students, 50 volunteer student teachers, and almost 500 adults who are all being taught by Billo off the outlines I work up and translate into Bangali. The ministry has grown beyond my ability to supply tyheir needs. We do find donors from time to time, but they are few and far between, as of today 80% of the finances come from me, and I am not able to keep up with the growth, so I need partners willing to help finance us.

Bibles cost $10 each, paper costs $5 a ream, and ink is getting more expensive by the week. I have a go-fund account set up to get donations, and anyone willing to help can contact me either through my website or on facbook.
