Bombil also known as Bombay duck in English is found in the Arabian sea specially in the coastline of Maharashtra and Goa.
Being delicate and soggy it is mostly dried on bamboo racks and sold in market.
There are few recipes of fresh as well as dry Bombil.
Today we start with dry Bombil with onion fry, popular among koli fishermen especially Mangela kolis. It can be consumed as starters as well as in main course with dal rice and roties (bread)
