How To Make Cream Corn

RECIPE:

Creamed Corn (Fried Corn)
6 EARS FRESH CORN
1 1/2 CUPS WATER
1 TSP. SALT
1/4 TSP. PEPPER
2 CUPS MILK
3 TBSP. BUTTER OR MARGARINE
2 TBSP. CORNSTARCH
Shuck your corn. Brush it with a vegetable brush to remove silks. Cut it off cobb with very sharp knife. Start at the top and cut downward into a wide bowl while resting the cobb on the bottom of bowl. Rotate cobb while cutting. Try to cut it thin enough to do two rows. After cutting off kernels scrape the cobb. Add corn, water, salt, pepper, 1 cup of milk and butter to a large wok or skillet. Turn on high and cook until water evaporates off corn. Put cornstarch in the remaining cup of milk (whisk well) or put in jar with lid and shake well then add to corn to thicken. About 5-8 minutes.
