Jeep Wrangler JK JKU 1 hour, zero dollar flat fender flare cut mod

2008 Jeep Wrangler JKU Stock fender flare flat mod/ cut in an hour and $0 (unless you buy the trim)

After installing my 35” tires, I only have a 2” lift and they looked a little tight to the fender flares, so I looked up online how much they would cost to get a set of flat fender.. WOW, they are $400 and up for a decent set, so I said NOPE and started looking online if there was a way to shave the stock fenders, sure enough there was and there are many ways to do them, some take them totally off, cut them and reinstall which takes a whole afternoon! I decided to cut them on the Jeep since it held them pretty secure for the cuts and the only thing I ended up having to take out was the inner wells to shave them down.

I love the look and the price. Gives the tires another 2” clearance for articulation. So in about an hour you can do this job with just a minimal set of tools. Jig saw, 10 TPI blades, saws-all, screwdriver and some sandpaper. 20' of trim molding I added later to give it a more finished look.
