Old flat foot bass drum style

John Bonham had a great bass drum feel and an incredible right foot, I believe John Henry Bonham was one of those individuals that would have been a great success no matter what he decided to do with his life.
At the young age of 14 he was already installing doors and door frames in his middle school in Birmingham England as well as building sets for the school plays by the age of 16 John was building cabinets which is very difficult for any carpenter, he was also a contractor like his father and was a automobile mechanic. John's father took him to see the a jazz event at the age of 12 and John was sure he wanted to be a drummer full time so glad he made the choice.
I spent hours listening to Led Zepplin and John Bonham and worked both of my feet til they hurt and not knowing any technique i played both feet flat on the peddles .
As I learned how to play with my heel up and other techniques on the bass drum and hi hat peddles I realized playing flat footed gave me a lot more control of the bass drum sound and feel and I never moved away from this way of touching the bass drum.
