Dr Avery Jackson, M.D., a brilliant and severely concerned Michigan brain surgeon came to Lansing with a plea to lawmakers. His asks seem reasonable and urgent. So why are democrat lawmakers refusing to listen or do anything to help save lives in Michigan?

Dr. Avery Jackson is a board-certified neurosurgeon, who completed his complex neurosurgical spine fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2000.

He is a member of the Michigan Spine Surgery Improvement Collaborative (the first of its kind in the country) that partnered with Blue Cross to improve surgical outcomes across the state.

He is the chief executive officer and medical director of Michigan Neurosurgical Institute, which he founded in 2004.

He also founded MNI Great Lakes ECHO 2017, and created the first Bone Health ECHO in Michigan, and the second in the world. The MNI Great Lakes Addiction Medicine and Chronic Pain ECHO is also the first of its kind in Michigan, created to address the opioid crisis and assist in the effort to save lives.

Dr. Jackson advocates for open dialog and debate in science and medicine and sees politics and misinformation media campaigns are getting in the way of doctors being able to treat their patients appropriately.

Dr. Jackson has been bravely outspoken against the mismanagement of the public health response to COVID 19. He has been advocating for early treatments and access to appropriate healthcare and is one of Americas Frontline Doctors.
