The pit bull dog is not dangerous, much less bad. The truth is that some breeds have specific behavioral traits, possibly bringing about strong temperaments. However, it is the way each dog is raised that will be decisive in shaping its way of dealing with the world. And this is true for all puppies, including pit bull puppies.
History:It is important to know that the breed was not created "pure", but, like many others, from a mix of different breeds. Around 1850, the crossing of the Bull Dog, White, Blue and Manchester Terriers resulted in the first pit bull species on record. It was named, at first, Bull-and-Terrier.
The pit bull's temperament - this is where the controversy about genetics, breeding and behavior come in. The breed is still stigmatized for various episodes of aggressiveness, but the reports that it is very docile and loyal to the family.
Health: Hip: the disease that can affect the pit bull breed in this region is hip dysplasia. It consists of a hip bone malformation, which can progressively compromise the dog's movements.
