This Is Your Story Pt.2 (Dionysus Rap)

(Again, my apologies to those with actual musical talent.)

Friedrich Nietzsche (and many others) summed up the two central principles in Greek culture as Apollonian and Dionysian. Here, Dionysus represents the right hemisphere of the brain.

The Hero's Journey is the fall from Paradise and the eventual return. However, in order to ascend, the Hero MUST rebel from the lies of hope. In STORY, those that control the Ordinary World feed it's citizens hope to keep them in a mindset of victimhood and lack.

Despite what we've been taught, hope is not a virtue.
It is one of the sins in Pandora's Box and the very thing that keeps us from taking action. As long as we put our hope in an external savior, the world will never become a better place. Hope is always future-based. And as long as you are living in the future you will never act in the now.
