In Ireland, greyhound racing is a popular sport. In Ireland, there are 17 stadiums (two in Northern Ireland), nine of which are entirely operated by Rásaocht Con Éireann / Greyhound Racing Ireland (previously known as Irish Greyhound Board IGB, Bord na gCon)[1], and the remaining six are privately owned and operated but licensed by GRI .[2]
Most have modern amenities such as grandstand restaurants and a parimutuel betting tote system that allows for both on-course and off-course wagering.
