Greek Yoga for Beginners

Many years ago, while recovering from surgery after blowing out my lung, I had no access to physical therapy, and no prospects to fully recover without permanent damage to my posture.

What I did have was experience in different forms of bodywork including yoga, Pilates, Callanetics, and Egoscue; as well as various types of martial arts, including Krav Maga, Aikido, and Tai Chi.

I began to formulate my own plan to straighten out my body before it became permanently out of alignment. Using what I knew, and adding the idea of matching the right movement with the right body position (from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), I began to create Greek Yoga.

Greek Yoga Benefits...

1. It's an all-in-one exercise: stretch, strengthen, balance, and cardio.

2. It can be done as a warmup for other activities, or as a full workout on its own.

3. No complicated moves.

4. Do it anywhere!

5. No equipment other than a mat is needed.

6. Time efficient! The whole workout can be done in 30 minutes (much less if you break it into parts: (standing / on knees / on belly / sitting / on back).

7. You don’t need to memorize—just do the next logical move from the position you’re in--you'll learn as you practice.

8. You can do as the ONLY form of exercise you need, or in conjunction with any other form of exercise.

9. It's FUN!

10. It keeps you young!
