What Does it Mean that the Eurodollar Futures Curve Inverts

What does it mean that the Eurodollar futures curve inverts (e.g. Dec. '06, Jun. '18, Dec. '21)? Why would money-rates start heading the wrong way—downward—all of a sudden? Is inversion a serious warning to any economic participant or official that cares to listen?
