We're not of the world

but because ye are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. (John 15:19-20)
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the evil one. (1 John 5:19)

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. (1 John 2:15)

...In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is begotten of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that hath overcome the world, even our faith. And who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:3-5)
