Duty is the binding or obligatory force of something that is morally or legally right or an action or task required by a person's position, role, or occupation. (Modified from Dictionary.com)

The term intended here is synonymous with responsibility, charge, obligation, and mission. Possibly a higher-level term would be stewardship.

As we look back through the history of the world and in the context of goodness, truth, and light, there are people and groups of people who definitely fulfilled their duty. Numbers would include thousands, millions, and more.

In the Christian religion there is one individual who stands out. Jesus Christ is truly unique in that He is the Beloved Son of our Heavenly Father. His life was centered on answering the Call of his Father. He fulfilled His divine Duty. There was a moment in His mission where He was alone. His mission was to stand firm. For us. The most Glorious of all Duties, bringing ultimate Goodness, Truth, and Light to all.
