Courage is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., despite any fear.

Courage can take many forms. It could be moral, physical, social, emotional, and even spiritual. Often all forms are involved in some degree.

Courage can help one overcome a natural fear of doing things never done before. It operates to stare down a fear of failure, embarrassment, rejection, or isolation.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." --Deuteronomy 31:6

“Be of good courage, and let us be courageous for our people, and for the cities of our God, and may the Lord do what seems good to him.” --2 Samuel 10:12
