Nearly a year after the January 6 riot at the Capitol, the Michael Bolton, the U.S. Capitol Police inspector general, said the Capitol Police Department has more work to do to secure the complex from another security breach—testifying that less than half of security proposals have been implemented and nearly 10% of the Capitol Police force have left their jobs.
