Multifaceted movie maven Demetria McKinney helps christen the Christmas season with a lot of Gospel singing and a little bit of romance in the appropriately title "Kirk Franklin's A Gospel Christmas."

Sparks first begin to fly when the apprehensive and bashful Olivia (played by Olivia) is installed as the church's new pastor. She feels overwhelmed when she's charged with organizing the congregation's annual town Christmas jamboree in just a few weeks -- all while sidestepping hazards and landmines in the form of strong-willed church elders. But that's when another kind of sparks pop off like fireworks when she commissions another parishioner, played by Chez Lamar, to help augment her efforts in this massive operation.

McKinney sits down with rolling out to discuss why she loves playing in Christmas movies (as this is her third Christmas-themed film) and the meaning of the holiday season to her.
