A Quiet Place (2018) filming location, What it really looks like. Hawk talk
Beautiful day out for a hawk ride, so I decided it was time to visit the filming location of “A quiet Place”. The movie was filmed fairly close to me, in Wingdale, New York on Route 55 and West Dover Road. I drove by while they were filming most the summer last year (video at end). I did see a few things that were added as effects, like the silo where they went on top of, it is not there, and one of the shots where he is spreading sand, the silo behind barn is not naturally in the shot. Was cool to see the white sand still there too!
I have so many new Hawk rides asking why their bike doesn't start without having to hold the throttle a little... it's because it has no idle up solenoid, nor is it fuel injected, but SOON it will be EFI. I may put the old muffler on the Hawk, keeping the head pipe on with the expansion chamber. I like it quiet for the woods.
