Germany imposes restrictions on unvaccinated amid COVID-19 surge

Germany has announced new restrictions targeting unvaccinated people, banning them from visiting non-essential stores, restaurants, and sports and cultural venues. The country is in the midst of a surge in COVID-19 cases, while also having one of the lowest vaccination rates in western Europe.
