But in this video, we will look back on the enduring legacy of Neon Genesis Evangelion, a mecha series by Hideaki Anno that premiered 25 years ago on October 4, 1995. While it was popular in Japan upon release, its popularity in the West would build over time. We look back on the series, what makes it popular, its influence on others and more.
