Former U.S. Sen. Bob Dole has died. Dole enlisted in the Army Enlisted Reserve Corps in 1942 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant with the 10th Mountain Division in 1944. Dole served as the Senate’s Republican leader from 1985 to 1996.
