How important is it for judicial bodies to be willing to hear appeals, no matter how probable it is the outcome will end up being the same?

To ME, the answer is, "It's CRITICAL."

I've hard too many cases, where people have sat in cells, where they were later determined to be (obviously) innocent of that which put them there.

Any group that cannot or WILL not, rehear cases for seemingly insignificant reasons, is (at least in MY mind) a "dead body."

I talk more on this in today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
