In Custom Battery Wires Video, we show you how to make Custom Battery/Power Wires SUPER EASY

Our 68 mustang project is in need of fixing some of the stuff we didn’t do absolutely perfect when we built it, as we were in a rush to complete the car (6-month timeline )
so let’s get onto what we are doing.
we moved the battery to the trunk.
1) I like the looks of it being back there.
2) it’s better for weight transfer
3) it gets it away from the heat of the motor.
We noticed that when the car was warm it didn’t want to start. We couldn’t really figure out what the problem was until we dug into the wire sizing.
To carry 300amps the length of the car we need 2/0 welding cable. The kit we bought to mount the battery in the trunk, supplied a 4 gauge welding cable which isn’t sufficient to carry the current to the starter motor. When upgrading to the 2/0 cable we will eliminate the issues.
To make the cables we need to crimp on the terminal lugs, to do this we are using our crimping tool from Amazon. You simply place the terminal into the crimper and hit the top of it with a hammer.
Once the crimp is complete you will need a piece of heat shrink tubing over the crimp and you are done.

any length or size wire will follow these same quick tips and provide years of service without fail.
