holley sniper efi initial setup

In this episode, i take you step by step through the Holley Sniper EFI setup and review the parts needed to make it work.

We walk through the basics of setting the distributor to initially set the timing. Starting with setting the engine at 14 degrees before top dead center (TDC), then show you how to determine the correct location for the distributor rotor to be pointing.

Next, we discuss the components we use on this build including the Holley Sniper EFI, the MSD 6 EFI controller and the MSD distributor, and lastly the MSD blaster coil.

As this build is supercharged we have selected an MSD distributor with no vacuum advance mechanism and we have disabled the distributor's mechanical advance system. The Holley Sniper EFI will be programmed to control the timing of the engine throughout the entire engine rpm range. Which will optimize the fuel and timing to make the most power and create the best fuel economy as the SNIPER is constantly learning and will make slight adjustments to improve the experience driving every time it's running.
