SOLAR PLEXUS STRIKING DRILL ON "BOB" BY JKD SIFU MIKE GOLDBERG

When training with the Century Martial Arts training dummy "BOB" we decided to modify the location of the solar plexus with a plastic roofing nail cap sealing it on "BOB" just below the "Dipple" area with super glue then coloring it with a RED marker so it would stand out more. Not only does this help students focus striking the target area correctly, the plastic cap also gives one positive audio feedback letting you know that the solar plexus was indeed struck properly. ( We recommend wearing some type of glove similar to the orange ones that Sifu Goldberg is wearing to protect your knuckles. ) Since most attackers will be wearing some type of clothes most of the time this makes striking the exact location of the solar plexus more challenging, so, we suggest you use a "chain punching" attack like in JKD and Wing Chun giving you betters odds of striking the solar plexus correctly sending your attacker back in pain, giving you enough time to retreat to safety.
