After the North Island Concerned Citizens meeting with MLA Michelle Babchuck December 1st, 2021, Michelle REFUSED to follow through with any of their requests to speak to any of the Executive Council & Parliamentary Secretaries of B.C. They asked her to voice their concerns and consider solutions to the trampling of their rights in BC. After Michelle's clear decision to not represent them once again, Concerned Citizens immediately decided to push back and occupy her office by filling her lobby with Concerned Citizens. Concerned Citizens moved some of the rally from outside her office to inside her office. The rally outside was asking people to honk to replace their MLA if she didn't represent them. Up until now, and still, Michelle refuses to represent their concerns and be a voice for Concerned Citizens. Police were called and two were arrested on false accusations of mischief so the office could be cleared out. The two arrested were released shortly after. Michelle's daily business was not obstructed and no damage took place during the peaceful protest inside her office. PLEASE JOIN US BC and Canada as we keep pushing back to stop the governmental overreaching! This is the beginning of change coming here in Campbell River!
