PT2 3hp Harbor Freight compressor head on Sears, test RPM tachometer with your phone, 4 1/2” pulley

Part 2 I put the 4 1/2” drive pulley on and its running faster than the pump recommends, should I keep it at 1200 RPM's
I also found the top RPM for the RPM test app Strobily is good to 1800 RPM's (1 HZ equals 60 RPM)

Also finally fixed the knocking 5 horsepower (really 3hp ) sears compressor, tore it down to see what was knocking, connecting rod and crank shot, crank vent hole blocked off causing it to push oil out the front seal. I explain how the 5hp SPL is NOT 5 HP, its more like 3hp. Rumors were said there was a class action lawsuit but I couldn't find anything about it.
Installed a Harbor Freight 3hp compressor head Jeff gave me, SO much quieter than the old one, partly to do with the intake muffler filter setup. Put a 3 1/2” pulley after calculations and its only 840 RPM, so I will try my 4 1/2” pulley when I get a bigger belt.
