Jesus will come again to take those ready.

So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:28
Are you eagerly waiting for Jesus to return?

Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
I Thessalonians 5:4,9
The True Church will escape that Day of Wrath = Rapture = and will not be surprised by that day that comes like a thief. They will be ready.

The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
Mathew 25:10
After the Rapture comes the Wedding Banquet in Heaven. Those who were not ready will suffer under God's wrath.

But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust,
wake up and shout for joy.
Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.

Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you;
Hide yourselves for a little while
until his wrath has passed by.

See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed upon her; she will conceal her slain no longer.
(Isaiah 26:19-21)
The dead in Christ will rise first then the rapture takes those ready out to be hidden from God's wrath poured out on the earth in the Great Tribulation.

16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven,with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
