The pro-life and pro-choice crowds, seen holding signs and chanting slogans, were separated by barricades. "We are all human, I am not any better than a 15-week-old fetus, I am just as much a human as that child in the womb and I think my life is just as important as theirs - I mean all lives are valued by God, and so I just think that's why I am here," said a pro-life protester. "Women have sought abortions since the beginning of time and making them illegal only makes them unsafe," argued a pro-choice demonstrator. "I am an emergency medicine provider and I don’t want to see women coming into the emergency room after they have taken action on their own bodies which could be life threatening." Last month, both sides held protests in DC, sparked by a restrictive Texas abortion law signed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, which banned the procedure as early as six weeks into pregnancy and encouraged citizens to prosecute people who violated the ban. The Supreme Court has voted against blocking enforcement of the law 'pending oral arguments.'
