Hannukah and the Holy Days and Modern Israel
The significance of Hannakah is greater when the history of Modern Israel is reviewed. King David's son of King Solomon who built the Temple in Jerusalem. Solomon made God angry and because of it the Kingdom was partially removed from Rehoboam and Given to Jeroboam, and Jeroboam and those who followed him as King were evil and fell into captivity to the Babylon and Assyria and the kingdom's of Israel and later Judah were carried away captive and scattered through the nations of the World. Judah was restored to the land but not under Jewish Sovereign Control. Antiochus Epiphanes defiled the Temple in Jerusalem and set off the Maccabean revolt, which resulted in the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem, which was also celebrated by Jesus in the Gospel of John Chapter 10.
