William Shakespeares epic theatrical drama, Merchants of Venice, was a courtroom drama. It featured one so wickedly avoracious for money and power, he was willing to kill in exchange for it. What was the cargo? People. Or, rather, slaves. This was before the advent of automation - so, the purchased slaves would suffer a lifetime of backbreaking toil and insufferable torment - at least they would live. The modern version has a bitter twist - and features ALL of the world's most powerful. This is our first of a 10 part series on the topic - an introduction to the real Merchants of Menace. Beware the Blood Moon!
