black diamond storm 400 closing clamp snapped off during a night hike in Dartmoor Nov 2021

I will contact the supplier to send pictures and this video to show the comparison from my older model. the older black diamond 250 has worked well over the years hence buying the the black diamond storm 400. the light itself has been great while night hiking. the lever on the last battery isn't as well built as my older model. I will mention this is the message . it may just be a faulty one. hopefully I get a replacement. it isn't about the money. just the principle. and not being waterproof while hiking in the dark is problematic for me. which I use it by putting tap on the housing to clamp it shut. I needed more light for safety reasons.
