Nat King Cole (1919-1965) is best known as a vocalist but he originally came to prominence as a pianist leading his King Cole Trio.

These recordings of the King Cole Trio were originally recorded in Los Angeles and New York City between January 1944 and March 1949. The were remastered and released on this Capitol Records album circa 1970.
