To Charge or Not To Charge

Do you charge for an audition on freelance platforms? It's a question I hear a lot so let's talk about it!

Before starting a voice over business I started and built one of the largest salon and spas in my area. I still own the business to this day and although I don't work behind the chair as much as I used to, I enjoy interacting with clients and my employees. Building a brick & mortar business has taught me valuable skills in dealing with clients, employee relations, building and maintaining a positive environment, handling employee and/or client complaints and so much more. The skills I learned in that business definitely contributed to the fast growth of my voiceover business.
