Watch the moment dozens of enormous elephants brought an Indian highway to a standstill as they strolled across it.

The herd amused locals in the Sankrail region of the Paschim Medinipur district, in West Bengal, eastern India today (30).

The sounds of car horns can be heard from the drivers who had their journeys halted by the unexpected group of jumbos.

Locals standing in the road can then be seen and heard cheering and shouting as the enormous group of elephants journeyed across the road.
