The Easiest and Simplest Crosscut Sled You Can Make

This crosscut sled is made out of 1/2" plywood and 1x4's. Using 1/2" plywood is plenty sturdy enough while remaining as light as possible. I'm not going the "screw one end and adjust" method for the back fence. While that method helps to "dial it in", for a majority of applications it's overkill.
This sled is fast and easy to make for beginners and will increase the usability of your table saw immensely. Using this as a basis you can add functionality as your needs require - but you'll have a fully functional sled with which to work.
